No matter what corner of Vienna you look at, there are plenty of luxurious hotels just waiting to be explored. Vienna’s rich history and architecture are truly enticing and the magnificent 5-star hotels located on Ring Boulevard will leave you speechless!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Imperial Vienna, a Luxury Collection Hotel which gained fame around the world as a byword for impeccable service, ultimate luxury and discretion.

OVERVIEW
The hotel takes you on a journey back in time to the Austrian Imperial era with its grandeur, elegance and sophisticated ambiance. The ceilings are adorned with amazing frescoes, whilst the opulent chandeliers sparkle overhead. The marble, the furniture and fabulous paintings are a treat to the eyes and soul.

One of my favorite places to relax and drink coffee was the beautiful lounge with the amazing Christmas tree and fireplace.

History and art enthusiasts will have a great time at the Imperial Vienna, as the hotel boosts various portraits, statues and paintings of significant personalities.

ROOMS & SUITES
Because the Imperial Vienna Hotel used to be the palace of Prince of Württemberg, every room and suite is different, no two rooms are exactly the same. No wonder why famous guests like Queen Elizabeth II of England, John F. Kennedy, Indira Gandhi, Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Sinatra, Luciano Pavarotti, Charlie Chaplin, Woody Allen, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt and Michael Jackson stayed here.
My 70 sq m Executive Junior Suite consisted of a generous living room, a charming bedroom and a luxurious & spacious bathroom, with the perfect atmosphere to relax. It made me feel like a real princess and I fell in love with the imperial bed and the regal amenities.

I was delighted to discover the “Imperial Menu of Dreams” – a small booklet with a wide variety of pillows to choose from: Württemberg, Franz Joseph, Imperial, Fiaker, Sissi and Belvedere. I chose the Imperial, of course.
What more in terms of ultimate luxury? The Luxury Collection Hotel Imperial Vienna is one of few hotels in the world and the only hotel in Austria offering a personal butler service. Even the morning paper is hand-ironed!

WINING & DINING
The Imperial Vienna, a Luxury Collection Hotel features OPUS Restaurant, Café Imperial and the lovely “1873 – HalleNsalon” bar, where the imperial experience is rounded off with gentle piano sounds.

I had a delicious breakfast at Café Imperial and ordered a cup of exquisite Imperial Coffee Melange and one Imperial Torte. The legend says that a kitchen apprentice created the famous Imperial Torte in honor of Emperor Franz Joseph I on the occasion of the Hotel Imperial’s opening in 1873. The recipe has been a closely guarded secret since. So I had to taste this special sweet treat and ordered the Mozart Edition …

Irresistible, luxurious and mouth-watering are some of the ways in which I can describe the Imperial Torte – a must-try cake for the ones who love chocolate & marzipan.
My stay was an absolutely princess dream – I’ve been in many hotels, but none so charming and historic like the Luxury Collection Hotel Imperial Vienna.
Thank you to the Imperial Vienna Hotel for welcoming Expat Trip! Opinions are, as always, my own.
