With a state-of-the-art wellness centre and a top-notch cuisine, Esplanade Tergesteo Spa & Hotel Terme was the perfect location for a short SPA Escape. Thanks to its idyllic surroundings and recent renovation works, this SPA Hotel is strikingly different from any other found in the area and is bound to impress.
Wellness & Spa
For centuries, the properties of the Euganean Thermal Baths (Abano & Montegrotto) are valued as a special healing method for a large number of medical conditions. Moreover, the extensive range of Spa services, such as mud therapy and inhalation treatments are unique due to their composition and benefits. If sinking down in magnesium- and potassium-enriched water up to your chin is for you, then the Emotion Zone SPA might be your winning ticket: a place for personal rediscovery, rejuvenation and healing.
Setting a new standard for poolside pampering, the vibrant colors and exclusive ambiance of this SPA won me over from the start. The beds with hydro massaging jets were fun and thousands of water bubbles rose from the bottom to the surface. What’s better than escaping to a sanctuary of indulgence and relaxation?
Moreover, if you go late in the evening, you’ll have the pool all to yourself. It comes with a water temperature of 34 to 36°C and is open until 11 p.m.
But the real draw of the wellness centre comes with the RoofTop54, an exclusive panoramic SPA area featuring a salt water pool (adults only), the only one of its kind in the entire Euganean thermal spa region. The partially covered panoramic swimming pool (35°C in winter, 30°C in summer), the emotional showers, the relaxation rooms with chaise longues & waterbeds, and the plunge pool ( 17°C) will provide you with private, luxurious pampering bliss. Moreover, you can take advantage of the Finnish Sauna or try the fancy Hamam and scrub salts. Sounds perfect right?

Delicious Eats
The main restaurant happens to serve one of the city’s top breakfasts. The buffet has everything from super-light pastries and fresh fruit salads to gourmet cheese. However, my favorite eatery was the Bistrò54, a light and airy restaurant with a lovely sun terrace overlooking the gardens.
The food on offer is fantastic and I had the most wonderful Burrata I’ve ever had in Italy – very unctuous and savory. When it came to food & wine pairing, the waiter delicately matched my dish with a perfect wine from the Euganean Hills. Oh… and did I mention the awesome chocolate dessert?
