As one of the most beautiful winter destinations in Salzburger Land, it’s not surprising that Hochkönig region is home to an abundance of chic luxury accommodations where character and Austrian charm come as standard. But how many hotels here can say they serve up perfectly cooked seafood? And how many boast a fabulous heated outdoor pool? Welcome to the Lifestyle Hotel Eder!

The “Eder am Dorfplatz” is one of the main meeting points in the heart of Maria Alm, not just for those on vacation, but for locals too. It’s run by the Schwaiger family, and it’s well-known for the warm hospitality, and guest focused services. In short, Eder is a place where you feel as comfortable as you do in your own home.

Delicious Eats
We’ve spent New Year’s Eve weekend at the Eder, and have been really impressed with the menu and the quality of the dishes. The food here is fantastic, and this is where the hotel really excels! Breakfast at the Eder Restaurant includes fresh juices, exotic fruits, and made-to-order menu items. Moreover, there is also a Kids’ Buffet with wonderful choices like pancakes, Bircher muesli and cream donuts.

But one of the biggest draws is the dinner – seafood lovers can indulge in a delicious menu designed to meet the needs of gourmet eaters.

Wining & Champagning
Everything from top aperitifs to pine schnapps is served at the hotel bar, and the wine list is certainly worth taking a look at. Moreover, the champagnes will spark your appetite! You can’t go wrong with the Schlumberger DOM Rosé Brut T.FX.T. , which displays a sophisticated abundance of Burgundy notes, elegance and fruitiness.
And if you plan to splurge, have the Taittinger Brut Reserve, a delicately balanced champagne known for its excellent quality all over the world.
