Let me just start by saying I’m totally in love with Rovinj, known also as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. It’s a place that keeps on surprising me with its unique vibe and ultra fresh seafood. On top of this, Rovinj is home to Monte Mulini – a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World. If your heart is set on a luxurious stay blended with an exceptional hospitality, then this hotel is for you.

As one of the most renowned hotels in Croatia, chances are you’ve seen this beautiful 5-star hotel splashed all over Instagram. Part of Maistra Collection, Monte Mulini looks like it’s right out of the pages of a magazine.

There are many accommodation options at Monte Mulini, offering a variety of room categories for different guests’ needs. Ranging from 39 to 106 sq. m in size, the spacious rooms and suites boast king-size beds, bathtubs, walk-in showers with tropical rain effect, and double-sided wardrobes. Besides, high-end hotel seekers will definitely love the oversized bathrooms.
Though you can’t make a bad call with your chosen family room, the best decision may be going with one of the Deluxe Suites (featuring two spacious bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms) or a Executive Suite located in the tranquil annex near the hotel. Both options are a full guarantee of privacy.

But there’s more here than turquoise sea and fancy cocktails. The hotel offers complimentary water-sports activities like SUP (Stand-Up-Paddling) and Kayaking.
However, you’ll definitely be tempted to cool off in the pools scattered throughout the garden. The central pool looks out over the beautiful sun drenched Lone Bay.

The 5-star hotel is home to 3 incredible dining options, and all of them offer a distinct menu. So you can start your day with a stunning buffet breakfast at Mediterraneo. For a special dining experience, try the intimate Amatis restaurant – a romantic one-of-a-kind venue for two, truly a foodie’s dream.
Their third foodie paradise, the Wine Vault restaurant, is a place where food and wine are a combination of art, knowledge and passion. The wine list includes over 220 wines from Croatia and around the world chosen by award-winning sommeliers. In addition, the menu is inspired by French cuisine.
Last but not least, the outdoor terrace of the Lobby Bar is an inviting place to enjoy Monte Mulini’s handcrafted cocktails. Plus, the bar holds high standards – it stocks more than 50 types of gin.
Wellness & Spa
The icing on the cake? The intimately designed SPA. The wellness area extends over 700 sq. m and contains four multipurpose therapeutic rooms for massages, facial care & body treatments, as well as special rooms for manicure and pedicure. Besides, you can enjoy the facilities of the wellness centre of Hotel Lone, which you can access via a connecting hallway. So if you’re looking for top-to-toe pampering – this is the place.

Though it’s hard to pull yourself away from the calmness and refinement of Monte Mulini, you’ll want to make a reservation for the Laurel & Berry Restaurant located in Grand Park Hotel Rovinj (part of Maistra Collection) – literally just steps away from Monte Mulini.
See the red guy on the display tray? We devoured this delicious Scorpion fish! When in Rovinj, I simply cannot have a dinner without fresh seafood, can you?
If you’re tempted to walk a little farther, be sure to book a table on the sea front terrace of La Puntulina, which serves some of Rovinj’s best seafood. Order grilled lobster plus one ice-cold bottle of Malvazija Grota, and indulge your senses with the breathtaking views of the Adriatic.
TO CONCLUDE: Rovinj is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns on the Istrian peninsula… In my opinion, it’s the best! I promise if you go once, Rovinj will become one of those places you want to keep returning to for years to come.
