My stay at the Falkensteiner Balance Resort Stegersbach was my first introduction to the Falkensteiner Premium Collection and I’m already a big fan! First of all, the location is convenient as it’s only one and a half hour drive from Vienna and second, the resort is a big hit!

Once I walked into the lobby the first thing I noticed was how tranquil the place was! Great design and exclusive atmosphere – exactly what I was looking for to relax for the long weekend!

After a quick check in I laid eyes on the rooftop bar terrace with fabulous 180° views and I couldn’t help ordering a glass of red wine from the Southern Burgenland vineyards. As a matter of fact, if you are a wine lover, you can plan your next trip to explore the private wineries around here.

Rooms & Suites

Our room was a modern and spacious Deluxe Double Room Evening Sun, facing the green valley of South Burgenland with its idyllic vineyards. The bed was dreamily comfortable with perfect mattresses and crisp linens. Bathrobe and slippers were provided and there was a generous stash of spa toiletries.

Wellness & Spa

The hotel’s outdoor infinity pool provides a secluded and tranquil place to swim and sun bath, while for those who prefer spa treatments, the 2600 sq m Acquapura facilities are of very high standards. The outdoor pool and steam room were my favorites!

The restaurant Imago serves a first class menu to match its trendy decor and excellent service. Being a spa hotel, there are plenty of healthy options provided for both breakfast and dinner.

For lunch we went to the Spa-Bistro located next to the outdoor pool where I had a great Dim Sum! It tasted perfect and overtopped even the ones I’ve eaten in fancy Asian restaurants in Vienna.

Golfing

If you’re a golfer, head right to Golfschaukel Stegersbach Lafnitztal, which is the largest golf resort in Austria and is located directly next to the hotel. If you’re not a golfer but would like to become one, go and try out the “Golfschnuppern” offered by the hotel.

It was a phenomenal weekend and I returned to Vienna relaxed and refreshed. Those who want to indulge in great food and spa wellness will have a wonderful time at Falkensteiner Balance Resort Stegersbach. I’ll be back!
