If you’re looking for a top notch hotel in the Kitzbühel Alps, I can make your job easier and point you in the right direction. This August I was lucky enough to stay with my family at Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol, the 5-star superior hotel located in Jochberg – a wonderful summer destination which boasts an events calendar that can rival any major city.

On top of that, I had the privilege to enjoy the sensational Mercedes-Benz Summer Experience event. Mercedes-Benz is the exclusive mobility partner of Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol, so keep scrolling to see the beauties parked in front of the hotel!
This is what happens when PREMIUM brands hold hands…

Now let’s have a closer look at this special hotel! The luxurious Kempinski Das Tirol is just ten minutes away from Kitzbühel – famous for its celebrity clientele and well-heeled visitors. So it’s the perfect retreat for passionate golfers and fans of the great outdoors all year round. Best part? It’s a kid & dog-friendly hotel!

But one thing that makes this hotel an unrivalled choice is its location with ski in – ski out access to the slopes. For hotel manager Henning Reichel, perfect service, simplicity, ease and fun are particularly important. “This is Kitzbühel”, he says. “Having fun is the top priority here.” He wants to pamper his guests by providing first-class service, small gestures and great surprises.
Sweet Dreams Suites
Being a Kempinski Hotel, it will come as no surprise when I tell you that the interiors here are to-die-for. The rooms and suites at the Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol are truly special – furnished with an array of local materials such as wood and leather, they offer ample space as well as breathtaking views. Last but not least, the Penthouse Suite is definitely the highlight of the hotel: a total of 520 sq m in size, it offers plenty of space for up to ten people. It features five bedrooms and four bathrooms, and the three roof terraces ensure splendid views of the surrounding mountains. By the way, it’s the largest penthouse you’ll find in Tyrol…

Delicious Eats
Freshly baked farmhouse bread with creamy butter, bread rolls and other sweet delights, plus bacon, ham, juicy fruits, healthy vegetables, and regional cheeses are served alongside delicious juices, premium coffee and the finest teas. In the evening, diners are spoilt for choice: classic Tyrolean dishes, a menu with a surprising range of options or à la carte meals. All of this is on offer at the elegant Steinberg Restaurant.

“Tyrol meets Asia” is the motto of the Euro-Asian restaurant – Sra Bua. Executive Chef Caspar Bork will surprise you with different regional tastes and dishes: “Out of authentic & ecological products, we offer dishes that show our guests the taste of Tyrol.” It’s a culinary trip to the other end of the world: to a faraway land of taste, a world of exotic herbs, spices and vegetables.

Wellness & SPA
Kempinski The Spa boasts a 3,600 sq m wellness area with a guaranteed feel-good factor. Lava & salt stone saunas, steam baths, Tyrolean mountain herbs and local timber contribute to the wonderful ambiance. Be sure to book their signature treatment – the Mountain Crystals Massage.

Relaxation areas, an indoor pool, a 20-metre outdoor sports pool, a sun terrace, private spa suites, a fitness centre, a cardio area, personal trainers, massages, cosmetic treatments, physiotherapists, baths, a salt water pool… Sounds perfect, right?

Little Ones
The hotel has a wonderful KIDS CLUB for children from the age of 2. There are spacious, child-friendly facilities, healthy snacks & meals available on request, a doll corner with a play kitchen, shop, post office, and puppet theatre. But also a fun corner with Pirate, Indian, Cowboy and Princess costumes. Not to mention the Lego, Fisher Price, and Playmobil toys… With your kids in their professional care, you can rest assured that your stay at Kempinski will be a comfortable one.

To Dos While You’Re Here
Golfing (if you’re a fan, check out Golf Eichenheim), Nordic walking, cycling, mountain biking, hiking and climbing as well as all sorts of motor sports are here on offer in the summer months.

Go for a test drive and enjoy the stunning alpine scenery! You’ll get mesmerized, and lose track of time… you’ll thank me later! In the past I’ve been in charge with Marketing & PR for premium automotive brands such as Porsche, Audi, Volvo, so I couldn’t resist test driving one of the angry beauties displayed in front of the hotel. My choice? Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63 S Cabriolet. This jewel is tricky to drive, and demands full attention at all times – and beware, it sounds like THUNDER! But there is only one word to describe it: S U B L I M E.

No matter what you’re planning to do at Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol this summer, take my advice: SPA, SLEEP, DRIVE & REPEAT! So goodbye from Kempinski Das Tirol and goodbye to the Mercedes-Benz! But hopefully not for long!
