It’s easy to appreciate the beauty and tranquility of Lake Fuschl, especially from the luxe grounds of Schloss Fuschl, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, where noblesse and sophistication go hand in hand with fairy tales and magic.

Awarded by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the 25 best resorts in Europe, Schloss Fuschl has been the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Once I got to the Suite, I was happy to find the famous Schloss Fuschl cake and a bottle of champagne!
The generous Franz Josef Suite with warm red tones and black marble is bursting with charm and elegance. But no matter the style inside, all eyes will be on that sensational view of Lake Fuschl.
To put this in perspective: you can easily host a small party of close friends in the living room alone.
Special tip: go out on the huge terrace and take time to catch the sunset, which locals claim is the most beautiful in Austria!
Wining & Dining
Both breakfast & dinner were amazing! It’s very possible to spend your entire day inside the Schloss Restaurant… 🙂 I couldn’t stop ordering and eating, everything was delicious and we spent hours chatting over breakfast. Foodies who are looking for a distinctive breakfast experience, will love it here!
For dinner the Schloss Restaurant serves a gourmet cuisine based on a fusion of Austrian and French influences, incorporating freshly caught fish from the on-site castle fishery. So it’s a paradise for fish gourmets!
The wine list is incredible… I’m not a white wine lover, but the Pinot Grigio surprised me, had an unmistakable flavor and was the perfect wine to pair with fish.
After the long dinner we sipped on an excellent digestif and moved from the restaurant to the Schloss Bar, which offers a stylish & cosy ambience with a historic fireplace.
Wellness & Spa
The Schloss Fuschl SPA is gorgeous, tranquil and meant to be enjoyed. The spa services are decadent, and the amenities make this your own, personal oasis.
What’s cool? Schloss Fuschl Resort & Spa is a dog friendly castle and you’ll find a royal pet food station right at the entrance. No need to leave your pet home alone!

To Dos
A trip to Salzburg would be incomplete without visiting the spectacular Hangar-7, owned by Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz. It houses the historical Flying Bulls aircraft fleet, a collection of Formula 1 race cars and the gourmet restaurant Ikarus.
